Acid Precipitation Page 3
Acid precipitation is a mixture of wet or dry fallout from clouds that has more nitric or sulfuric acid than normal. Some of the acid could come from natural sources like volcanoes, or man made sources like fossil fuel combustion. Some of the effects of acid precipitation are damage to plants, soil, and buildings. Precipitation is rain, snow, hail, or dust that falls from clouds to Earth. Examples of fossil fuel are gasoline or natural gases.
